A 40-day study of twenty men of the Bible, two days each, from Abraham to Timothy in the order they appear in Scripture. One new day opens each calendar day. The first day of each pair tells the man's story from the text and the strengths God used; the second looks honestly at where he fell short, or the pressures he carried, and what it means for a man today. Each day has a short reading, the key verse, three multiple-choice questions, one action and a short prayer. At the end of each week there is a 10-question review, and a certificate page waits at day 40.
Is this an app I need to download?
No. Fortymen is a website built for phones. It opens in Safari, Chrome or any modern browser, and also works on a tablet or computer. You can add it to your home screen from the browser menu so it opens like an app.
How long does each day take?
About 3–4 minutes for the reading and questions, plus however long you want to spend on the prayer.
What if I miss a day?
Nothing is lost. The next day waits where you left off, and missed days never pile up as a backlog.
Do I need to know the Bible well?
No. Each day tells the story it draws on and gives the references, and every question can be answered from that day's reading. The plan works the same whether these men are new to you or old friends.
Which Bible translation is used?
Key verses are quoted from the English Standard Version (ESV). Other passages are given as references, so you can look them up in any translation.
Is it tied to a particular church or denomination?
No. The study stays close to the text of Scripture and tells each man's story from the Bible alone, without inventing motives or details. Where Christians read a detail differently, it says so fairly and does not take sides.
